Many Unitarian Universalists are squeamish about prayer, because of the big unknown question of who one might pray to. However, there is lots of evidence that prayer can create meaningful change in our lives.
Allies in the struggles against oppressive systems are learning the difficult task of centering the voices of marginalized people. On this MLK Jr Day, Rev. Tracy will explore the opportunities and challenges of centering the voices of other people.
Many faiths ask us to listen to the voice within and be our true authentic self. This is easier said than done. How do we know if the voice we hear is our voice? Out of all the ways we know ourselves what is true and authentic? Rev. Tracy will explore these issues.
At this multigenerational, story-based service, we will remember the fun and joy of the season. On the this first day of Hanukkah, the service will center a dramatic reading of Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins. We’ll include songs from many traditions.
