Theater As A Change Agent for Racial Ecology: A Close-Up Look at Portland’s Red Door Project

In this interview-style presentation, Red Door’s co-founders Kevin Jones and Lesli Mones are in conversation with Portland’s Deputy Police Chief Robert Day, affording us a hard glimpse into what is’s like to be an officer of the law in today’s uneasy climate. After the service, at noon, one of the monologues (“The Things You Can’t Unsee”) from the current play, “Cop Out: Beyond Black, White & Blue,” will be presented by Portland actor, Paul Susi. This is an emotionally-charged piece with strong language, not meant for children. Childcare will be provided so that parents may attend the performance and the Talk Back with Kevin & Lesli.
