We need to listen to each other across difference. As our country is torn apart by partisan and racial divides we need to learn how to listen and believe each other’s stories and pain even when it makes us really uncomfortable.

Renewing and Inspiring: Religious communities at their best renew us and inspire our compassion, commitment, and action. How can WHUUF do that for us now?

This is our annual water  communion service.

This summer I spent a good deal of time noticing the sky and trees out my window. I recognized that my non-religious parents had raised me emotionally and spiritually as a Calvinist. As Americans, this might have happened to you, too. It’s time to let that go and notice the trees.

At flower communion we celebrate the bounty of nature and our community. We can’t be physically together, but we can celebrate flowers and our congregation. We will hold our community in compassion.
