Storyteller & Performing Artist Susan Grace Banyas shares from her book, “The Hillsboro Story.” Be ready for a deeply personal glimpse into the edgy history she uncovered in her home town of Hillsboro, Ohio (once an integral part of the Underground Railroad) starting in 1954, two months after the Brown V. Board of Education decision to legally end school segregration. At 4pm this afternoon, Susan and musician David Ornette Cherry will present “Outtakes”, a 50-minute performance followed by a half hour of Talk Back, further illuminating the kaleidoscope that became The Hillsboro Story. “Outtakes” will further illuminate the kaleidoscope that became The Hillsboro Story. The performance is open to all. Donations will be gratefully accepted, but not required. “The end is forgiveness, the end is reconciliation, the end is the creation of the beloved community.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
