In collaboration with WHUUF’s Social Justice Team, we present guest speaker Bobbin Singh, founder of the Oregon Justice Resource Center. Bobbin and his team has over a decade of work toward dismantling mass incarceration and advocating for the rights of those who have been harmed by the criminal system, including support for immigrants. With his unique purview, he will help us orient ourselves to contemporary issues being faced by immigrants locally, and also help us explore what our congregation and supporters can do to resist injustice and support immigrants and their families.

This quarter’s Donate The Basket goes to the ACLU Foundation, who engages litigation and public education efforts to protect civil liberties and realize the promise of the US Constitution. “With immigrant rights, trans justice, reproductive freedom, and more at risk, we’re in courts and communities across the country to protect everyone’s rights — and we need you with us”.
