At WHUUF and in many UU congregations, people often disagree about religious language – for some it is poetic and spiritual, for others it is meaningless, misleading or unhelpful, and for others it is a reminder of the worst that religion has done. Dealing with these very real differences is a matter of learning to trust each other’s best intentions and desire for a meaningful community for all.
