The Right Relations Team (RRT) is being formed at WHUUF  In support of our beloved community’s well being and longevity, and in an effort to provide a reliable mechanism for faithfully working through conflict when it arises. Here is the link to WHUUFs Covenant of Right Relations where you can become familiar with this foundational agreement. 

 

The qualities a Right Relations Team member needs to have are:

  • wisdom
  • good listening skills
  • skill in conflict resolution
  • respected by church members
  • ability to maintain respect and neutrality with community members experiencing difficulties in relationships
  • Helpful if have experience in the areas of mental health, mediation, or counseling, but not required

What the members ARE and ARE NOT is:

  • Are not therapists
  • Are not listeners to all of the member’s problems or fixer of their problems. 
  • Are focused only on building skills for congregants
  • Are providing support with interpersonal conflicts between members, between a member and a staff person.
  • Are helping with larger community conflicts.
  • Are agreeable to completing the UUA training for Right Relations Teams: “Tending the Covenant: Training for Right Relations Teams 330” (paid expense)
