West Hills Coffeehouse Concert Series 2025


Mark your calendars! The dates and artists for our popular concert series in WHUUF’s sanctuary are becoming available! The concerts will be on specific Fridays and Saturdays at 6 or 7:00 pm. Concerts will last from 60-90 minutes, which will sometimes include an opening act of our own WHUUF musicians!

West Hills Coffeehouse presents: Whitethorn Crossing on March 8 at 7:00 pm

March is St. Patrick’s Day month – and West Hills Coffeehouse will celebrate Irish music with a concert of Whitethorn Crossing on Saturday, March 8 , 2025. Whitethorn Crossing is a four-member music group based in Portland, Oregon. They sing and play (mostly) traditional Celtic music on fiddles, whistles, bodhrán, tenor banjo, guitar (and occasionally cello). They named themselves after the whitethorn tree and used “Crossing” as an indication that they were crossing over some genres as they mix Irish, Scottish, English, and American musical traditions. By the way, Whitethorn is another name for the hawthorn or May tree. In the past the band has performed at the Corvallis Celtic Festival and a lot of St. Patrick’s Day events.
Opening for them will be a youth dance group of the well known Murray Irish Dance School in Portland.
Doors open at 6:30pm; Concert starts at 7:00pm
$20 suggested donation – but no one will be turned away. Kids are free.
Tea and water are provided. Adult beverages are offered for a nominal donation. We welcome and encourage our friends and members who contribute a little something (snack) to share with others.
