Date: Saturday, April 27, 2024 (9:00am-Noon) Walking the labyrinth is a spiritual practice of intentionally interrupting our routine to contemplate the deeper things of life. Experiencing the labyrinth as a journey and ritual can provide insight, quiet the mind, and open the heart to be present to what is unfolding in our lives. Join us as we visit three unique labyrinths in NE and SE Portland including Classical and Medieval styles. At each location, we will have time to reflect on ways to walk a labyrinth and on our own experiences. This workshop will be led by Scott Winters, who is a trained Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator and Board Certified Hospice Chaplain. Cost $30

Carpooling will be available, leaving WHUUF at 8:30am

Testimonial: I have walked several labyrinths, from the two at First Church in Portland (one in a courtyard and a cloth one) to an outdoor one at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. Each had a different feel to them. They are a great meditation tool that can give insight, especially when you ask a question you need an answer to. I walked on a large indoor cloth labyrinth at the Arlington UU Church in Arlington, VA, and it led me to study herbal medicine. Such insights helped me to grow in a way I didn’t expect. – Alisa Joaquin
