Humanitarian Reflections on Oregon’s Sanctuary Status

The spirit of Sanctuary Law recognizes the worth and dignity of every person and their right to seek refuge from persecution. But what does Sanctuary mean in today’s world and what does it look like from a legal perspective? Today we will hear from Erin McKee, one of the founders of the Oregon Justice Resource Center, and co-director/ attorney for its Immigrant Rights Project. Erin’s work is driven by the belief that the justice system should be accountable to all of us, and that we should be accountable to each other, regardless of borders.
