As Director of the Oregon Justice Resource Center’s (OJRC) Women’s Justice Project, Julia describes her work as “the very humbling privilege of assisting women who live in the margins of our society – incarcerated women, pregnant women struggling with drug addiction, and those who are houseless.” She says they inspire her to bring them and their issues into the light by talking about them, sharing their stories and her experiences assisting them, and by encouraging others to recognize, rather than dismiss or disregard, them. Formerly a Social Worker primarily serving low income clients in areas of behavioral health and drug addiction, Julia is dedicated to using her law degree to increase access to justice and life up the voices of those she serves.
